Upload a video or record in Chrome. Here are a few things to know before you begin.

Record in Chrome or upload a video

Record with the IPPO Chrome extension, or upload a video in MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MKV, or M4V format. Check your workspace for file and storage limits. Some protected content and Chrome internal pages cannot be recorded.

Edit the guide or create a language version

Change the summary, steps and screenshots. You can also generate the guide text in another supported language. Check the app for available languages and review translations before sharing.

Check private details and link access

Check recordings and screenshots for private information before sharing. You can set a link password or expiry date, or revoke the link. AI processing may send selected frames, text and process details to the configured AI provider.

Know what uses AI credits

Credits are used when AI generates content. The amount depends on the processing needed, rather than the video length alone. Check your balance in Usage & limits. Manual edits and standard exports use no AI credits.

For example: each $0.01 of measured AI processing cost uses 1 credit, rounded up for each charged action. An action costing $0.125 would use 13 credits. Actual usage varies.

Can I edit the AI draft?

Yes. You can edit the instructions, add notes, and annotate or crop screenshots. Review the draft before sharing it with your team.

How can my team use the finished guide?

They can read the guide through a link, download a PDF or work from an editable Word document. Available sharing and export options depend on your plan.

Do recipients need an IPPO account?

Public links do not require an account, but may have a password or expiry date. Members-only links require sign-in and project access. PDF and Word files can be opened without an IPPO account.

Do viewers need a paid seat?

Under the proposed plans, you pay for people who record, upload and edit guides. Viewers are free, as are Team reviewers who only comment or approve. Confirm these terms when requesting access.

What uses AI credits?

Generating guides and language versions uses AI credits. Editing a guide yourself and making standard exports do not. Credit use depends on the processing needed, rather than video length alone.

How does access work?

Submit your work email to request access. Use the same email here to check your status. Once approved, you will see a link to create your account. Submitting again replaces your optional details, so fill in any information you want to keep.
